Pride on my Head

I have a hard time being proud of myself. It's something I often talk to myself about in my journal. I generally don't think of being proud of something until someone else points it out as being pride worthy. This isn't to say I'm always beating myself up, rather, I don't praise myself enough.

This weekend I did something I'm very proud of. I installed yarn twist extensions all by myself! I haven't had extensions in a long while. Part of the reason is extensions with artificial hair can run about $120-$200 for the price of the hair and the service of the braider. Starting Friday night I took it upon myself (after watching many YouTube tutorials) to install extensions with plain old knitting yarn, myself. So we're talking $200 vs. the $2.99 I paid for the yarn. It took me 10 hours, and I must admit by Saturday morning I was TIRED of braiding/twisting, but I was determined to finish what I started and I did.

PICS:
When I first finished. Can you see the accomplishment in my face? lol

Hubs and I on our supper awesome 3rd wedding anniversary date to Linvilla Orchard.

This is what I'm pretty sure will be my staple style while I wear these. Rolled and pinned in the front, out in the back.

What have you done recently that you are proud of?
