My Hair Holy Grail

note: not my hair, just a photo from google lol

I have had bouts of product junkie-ism, I'll be the first to admit that. My bathroom cabinet still shows signs of  this, as it's packed with hair products lol. It's with equal parts happiness and sadness that I think I've found the end of my hair product junkie ways. Sad because I really have no excuse to keep buying and trying products, happy because I think I have FINALLY found the perfect combinations of products to give my hair great shine, softness and moisture. I have found my wash day holy grail!

I pre-poo (or pre-shampoo) with coconut oil. During this time I also lightly finger detangle my hair, spraying a section of hair with water, applying coconut oil, and finger combing to remove shed hair.

I then (still outside the shower), apply Terressentials Mud Wash to my scalp, and run it along my hair shaft. At this point I hop in the shower, rinse the Terressentials Mud Wash and then co-wash (or conditioner wash) with Tresseme Naturals. I also more thoroughly finger comb/finger detangle while the Tresseme Naturals isi n my hair. I rinse this out with cold water.

Once I'm out the shower I dry my hair in a t-shirt for about 10-15 minutes and apply either coconut or Vatika oil to my damp hair and style it however I'm going to style.

I get THE MOST moisture from this process. I'm talking 3 or 4 days without having to put ANY more product on my hair. Still soft and shiny with no product application? Surely you jest!

What are your holy grail products for perfect hair?

  1. I've been hearing a lot of raving about Terressentials. It sounds so "life-changing"! LOL
I think Giovanni Smooth as Silk conditioner is a "HG" for me. It always makes my hair super soft.
