Dressing Nice & Going to the Gym - A One-Two Punch to a Good Mood

I have found a formula that is very likely to put me in a good mood no matter what is happening in life. Going to the gym in the morning, and following that with dressing up and putting on make-up. My day can't possibly go wrong if I've started it in that way. Going to the gym makes me feel accomplished. Dressing up and putting on make-up makes me feel pretty(er). Feeling pretty and feeling accomplished is enough to boost my mood.

I'm a generally happy person anyway, but this combo gives me that little *something extra.*

  2. Cute!

If I wasn't so tired after a workout, I'd try dressing up. Other than that, there isn't much that really boosts my mood. Traveling probably.

  3. Music! More specifically, House Music. I'm originally from Jersey and that's all we listened to there. But here in Cali, there's no such music. So when hubby puts on his house music playlist I get all excited! Talk about cuttin' a rug! :)

    1. I'm from Connecticut and had never heard house music until I moved to Philly. It was definitely an adjustment at first lol

    2. Yes it is an adjustment, especially since house songs can go on for 30 minutes or longer! Lol! We would literally sweat out perms and forget about press & curls! Same with DC and "GoGo" music. You have to live there to fully appreciate it. Yay Philly!

  4. HOW DOES YOUR HAIR ALWAYS LOOK SO GORGEOUS? Seriously, it looks so good in all of these styles. Mine is the saaaaame thing, evvvvery day. I'm a little envious of your ability to switch it up like this.

Also: I can not for the life of me get to the gym before work. How early do you go? I... need to try harder.

    1. Thanks! I read a lot of hair blogs and watch a lot of YouTube videos lol. I usually get to the gym around 8. I joined one that's close to my job, so I can go right to work from there.

    2. I work from home, so I basically never need to leave - which is a problem! I'm trying to get up even half an hour earlier to hit the bike (which is IN MY APARTMENT, by the way, so no excuse!)
