Philly Natural Hair Show Recap

This weekend I attended the Philly Natural Hair Show and had a BLAST. There were so many beautiful women in attendance with natural hair, it really made me happy. I snapped this picture which I thought was an awesome testament to the versatility and uniqueness of natural hair.

Here's a snapshot of my hair and outfit for the day. I purchased this shirt a while ago from Forever 21 with the plan to wear to the hair show.

I had the privilege of being one of the bloggers in the V/Bloggers cafe which gave me the opportunity to meet some really cool women and share my natural hair journey, tips, and tricks.

I also got to meet the lovely Jhan of Beyond My Smile

Kasheera from KashTV who is one my favorite YouTubers was in attendance and I purchased a pair of her beautiful earrings.

I attended the workshop on managing 4C hair led by Geraldine the Great and Jouelzy who I'd never come across before but now I'm following their Instagrams.

Even though I'm on the 10 Empties Challenge, I am currently out of lotion/body butter and body scrubs, so I was on a mission to get some from one of the amazing vendors at the event. I ran into the Herbal Body Blessings table who easily sold me because they had a powder scented body butter and I am currently obsessed with baby powder type scents.

All in all, I had a really great time, I couldn't have asked for anything more from the Philadelphia Natural Hair Show. I hope it returns again next year.

Me and my girl Keish

I've been really bored with my hair lately, so I've been contemplating cutting, coloring or adding extensions to it. I settled on extensions, and installed some Marley twists in my hair after the hair show. They only took me 4 hours, which is much faster than the time I did my yarn twists

How was your weekend? What did you do?

    1. The Marley twists aren't hard at all. I start with a braid at the root and then twists the rest of the way.

    1. I knooow! She told me she found my blog through your blog. She's cool. I have no idea what color is on my nails! Bad, I know. I got my first ever gel manicure and I picked the purple color with a separate glitter polish on top.

  4. Baby Powder is my all time favorite scent! I have a little spray bottle that I carry around with me at ALL times. Regular perfume scents haven't touched my skin for the past 3 years. Not sure how I missed that vendor with baby powder scented products, but I'm a little sad. It was great meeting you, Neshe! :-)
