My friend Keisha recently installed Senegalese twists via the crotchet method for me. It only took 2 hours and 15 minutes in comparison to the 6-8 hours installing individual twists takes. If you aren't familiar with the process, crotchet braids are installed by using a latch hook tool to crotchet hair into your corn-braided hair.
Below you can see the braid pattern of my hair underneath my twists.
For maintenance I plan to moisturize my hair and scalp underneath the twists every other day or so with Shea Moisture Hold & Shine Moisture Mist.
What styles do you employ to give yourself a break from doing your hair?
I love that and have been considering it, but sitting still that long... I don't know. I tend to do twists and leave them in for a week at a time. I need something longer term like what you have so I can go longer between manipulations. My issue is always maintenance. I'll definitely have to consider it.

Thanks! I am sooo happy with the new layout. The 2 hours and 15 minutes sitting is SO much more manageable than the usual 6-8 hours for individual twists. Put in a good movie, you'll be done before you know it!
